We warranty our remotes for 60 days from date of the you receive your keyless remote. We will either replace or refund your total purchase price if our product becomes deflective, which happens less than 1% of the time!

LKQ Corporation processes over 100,000 vehicles a year. As you can imagine we acquire thousands of keyless remotes for all types of vehicles. Ninety-five percent of our remotes, often called "FOBs", are original equipment. Each and every recycled keyless remote is thoroughly tested at our central testing facility in Aurora, Colorado.

What is the big deal about the FCC number?

You can search our extensive inventory with your FCC number. The FCC number is on the back of most keyless remotes. If not located there you probably will have to open the cases to retrieve the number.

The keyless remote that unlocks your doors, opens your trunk lid, or starts your vehicle has a radio frequency (RF) designed into that small device (FOB). These RFs are assigned by the FCC. This frequency is given a number and has unique radio wave that is programmed for your vehicle. This number helps you identify the correct keyless remote for your vehicle. The FCC number for one remote can work with different makes and models for vehicles.

The remote’s FCC number must match, and then the fob must be programmed to your own vehicle. Some programming is very easy and is included in the owner’s manual of your vehicle. Other keyless remotes must be programmed by the dealer. When you start the reprogramming process, it typically erases everything that was programmed on the remote, so be careful not to erase your existing remote. You could end up playing ping pong with your remotes, programming one and erasing the other. Make sure you read your owners manual or check with the dealer.
